Simon Bennett created Southern Waters Legal when he realised there was a need for expert law advice with the affordability and accessibility often missing from larger firms. Simon likes to think outside the box and often describes himself as a Businessman and Solicitor. Simon is not your typical Solicitor, preferring to develop friendly relationships with his clients which often sees him visiting clients at their residence or place of business.

Prior to starting Southern Waters Legal, Simon worked for a national law firm based in Sydney and has 20 years experience in advising on Business, Superannuation & Taxation and Estate Incapacity & Succession Planning. Simon is also a chartered Tax Advisor and provides advice on Asset Protection and Structuring.

Simon has a Masters of Law from the University of New South Wales having completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong. Simon also has a Masters of Commerce from the University of Wollongong.

Outside of Southern Waters Legal, Simon loves spending time with his young family and is passionate about sports, especially Rugby Union.
