Sophia Martyn

Sophia recently completed her Bachelor of Laws and is now awaiting admission as a solicitor. Sophia received the Environmental Defender’s Office Environmental Law Prize in 2023 for achieving the highest result in the unit for the year.

Prior to commencing Southern Waters Legal, Sophia gained 17 years of experience, both in Australia and London, in banking, finance and digital consulting, working in a variety of roles and projects. Sophia is now solely dedicated to increasing understanding, skills and proficiencies in all areas of legal administration/practice to facilitate a career transition into the practice of family law – an area in which she has lived experience. It is Sophia’s wish to ensure that she can utilise her own experiences to help others navigate their separation.

When not working, Sophia enjoys spending time with her two children and has been working on a screenplay she hopes to have commissioned one day in the future.
